Mayor Dean says he's for jobs; views opponent Craddock as "opposed to them"

Mayor Karl Dean commented to Dru's Vues about his re-election opposition from Michael Craddock, "I'm very positive about the city. I'm a little different than Mr. Craddock.  He's a critic and he's not very positive.  I'm a positive person.  I'm for jobs and he's been opposed to them.

"I'm a believer in jobs," the Mayor said. "I'm a believer in being positive.  I'll tell my story and Mr. Craddock can do whatever he does."

Dean emphasized his successes in office, "I think the things we have done in terms of the Music City Center; the jobs we've created; the Omni Hotel expansion; all those are good things.  Bringing Lowe's here, bringing Asurion here, beating English-only ---  all those things are good things for our city.   I have a very positive feeling about Nashville's future."

The Mayor was at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce annual meeting on Friday.
